Welcome to Juvelisto Design Studio & School of Metal Arts (“Juvelisto,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By visiting our website, browsing our store, or purchasing from us (online or in person), you agree to the terms below, as well as our Privacy Policy and Return & Repair Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

Our online store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

1. Eligibility & Your Account

By using this site, you confirm that you are the age of majority in your province or territory of residence, or you have permission from a parent/guardian.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when making a purchase or creating an account, and to keep it updated.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that happen under it.

2. Our Products & Services

We create and sell handcrafted jewellery, custom pieces, and workshops. Because many of our items are made by hand, slight variations in colour, texture, and finish are normal. We do our best to photograph and describe items accurately, but what you see on your screen may not perfectly match the actual piece.
We may change or discontinue products, workshops, or services at any time, without notice. We may also limit quantities or restrict sales to certain regions or customers.

3. Orders & Payment

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order, to limit quantities, or to cancel an order (for example, if the item is unavailable, pricing was incorrect, or payment is declined). If we cancel or change an order, we will try to contact you using the email or phone you provided.

All purchases are subject to our Return & Repair Policy ([LINK]).

You agree to provide valid payment information and authorize us (and Shopify’s payment processors) to charge the full amount, including taxes, shipping, and any duties where applicable.

Prices are shown in the currency indicated on the site and may change without notice.

4. Shipping, Risk & Delivery

We ship to the address you provide. Once your order has been handed to the carrier, risk of loss passes to you. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, or events beyond our control.
For high-value jewellery we recommend insured and trackable shipping — details are in our Shipping/Return policy.

5. Refunds, Exchanges & Gift Cards

Juvelisto is a small business and does not issue refunds, except as described in our Return & Repair Policy.
Custom orders, sale items, and workshop bookings are typically final sale.
Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit, but can be used toward jewellery, custom work, or services, and do not expire.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including designs, photos, text, product descriptions, workshop content, videos, graphics, and the Juvelisto name and logo — is owned by Juvelisto or used with permission.
You may not copy, reproduce, sell, resell, modify, or create derivative works from our content, jewellery designs, or workshop materials without our written consent.
This includes using our photos or workshop instructions to sell competing products or classes.

7. Third-Party Services & Links

Our store runs on Shopify and may use payment gateways, shipping apps, email providers, or booking tools. These third parties collect and use your data according to their own privacy policies.
If you leave our site or click a link to a third-party website (Instagram, shipping tracker, etc.), this Terms of Service no longer applies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use our website or services to:

• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights,

• attempt to hack, scrape, or disrupt the site,

• submit false or misleading information,

• copy our products or designs for resale,

• harass or abuse our staff.

We may suspend or refuse service to anyone who misuses the site or behaves abusively toward our team.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our website and online services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device.
Handmade jewellery may age, patina, or show wear over time — this is normal and not a defect. Care instructions are provided to help you maintain your piece.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Juvelisto, its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website, your inability to use it, or your purchase of any product or service.
If we are found liable for any reason, our maximum liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the item or service in question.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Juvelisto, our team, and our service providers (including Shopify) from any claims or demands arising out of your breach of these Terms or violation of any law or third-party rights.

12. Privacy

Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy ([LINK]), which explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of British Columbia.
