Having your jewellery regularly cleaned and inspected is the best way to maintain its brilliance and, most importantly, address any issues before they become complex repairs down the road. Regular jewellery cleaning and inspection can prevent broken or damaged prongs — one of the most common problems caused by daily wear and tear — which can lead to diamonds and gemstones falling out of their settings.
The general recommendation is to have your rings cleaned and inspected by a professional jeweller at least twice a year. At Juvelisto we provide this service free of charge, even for items that were not made or purchased in our studio. We also offer a jewellery polishing service for an additional fee and can often do this on the spot while you wait.
Jewellery Ultrasonic and Safety Check
Using high frequency sound waves and chemicals, our professional ultrasonic jewellery cleaner creates bubbles that attach themselves to the built-up grime on your diamonds or other gemstones. The bubbles are drawn away from the stone and brought to the surface, leaving behind a clean piece of jewellery that can be closely examined.
We then perform a safety check, inspecting the setting on your ring to spot any prongs that may be bent, worn, or broken, as well as any stones that may be loose or chipped. If we identify any problems, we will provide you with an estimate for completing the necessary repairs.
