Studio and bench rental

Independent studio time for experienced jewellery makers. Bring your project, materials and ideas to a professional workspace in Steveston.

Rental does not include instruction. For guidance, explore our private lessons.

2 hours — $30
3 hours — $40
Full day, during business hours — $60
10-hour pass — $120

A 10-hour pass can be used over several visits. Contact us before each visit to confirm availability. Monthly rentals are no longer offered.

Before your first visit.

All first-time renters complete a $25 safety orientation before using the studio. We’ll explain safety expectations, permitted tools and equipment restrictions.

You don’t need to have taken a Juvelisto class, but you do need enough experience to work independently. Orientation doesn’t replace jewellery-making experience or instruction.

At your bench.

Saw frames, pliers, torches, flex shafts, a rolling mill and polishing equipment are available. You’re welcome to bring your own tools.

Casting equipment, engraving equipment and the laser welder are not available to renters. We’ll explain any additional restrictions during orientation.

Bring what you need.

Bring your metals, solder and flux, saw blades, findings and other materials or consumables. These are not included in the rental fee.

Small quantities may be available to buy, but studio stock is limited. Please plan to bring everything your project needs.

Check before you visit.

Rental is available during business hours when no classes are scheduled. Contact us the day before or on the day you’d like to visit.
