Jewellery Consultation: You will begin by meeting with Juvelisto shop owner and lead jewellery designer, Sasha Shkolnik, to discuss the vision, style, and materials for your unique custom piece.
Sasha will incorporate the elements of your discussion into sketches and proposals, which she will email to you after your consultation.
Once you have chosen your design, we will contact you to provide an estimate for your custom piece. Estimates are based on the projected labour, materials, and services required to build your one-of-a kind jewellery item.
Upon approval of your estimate, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit before we begin making your custom jewellery piece. The remaining balance is due upon completion of your project.
Upon approval of your estimate, we will create a wax model of your design. We encourage you to view the model in person, as this is the stage where changes can be discussed. (Although we most commonly use the wax casting process, we also make jewellery using other methods. If your design is better suited to another method, we will contact you for approval as needed.)
The wax model is cast in your chosen metal and hand-finished by our team of experienced jewellers and stone setters.
Special finishes and engraving take place at this time.
• We work with various precious metals, including gold, platinum, sterling silver, and bronze. For gold jewellery designs, we have several colours and karats available (e.g. yellow, white, rose; 14K, 18K, 22K).
• If you have gold jewellery that you don’t wear anymore, we can use that material in your custom design. The value of the gold will go towards the final cost of your piece.
• You can bring your own gemstones, choose from our collection, or have us source any stone for you (e.g. sapphire, emerald, ruby, spinel, alexandrite).
• For diamond jewellery designs, we have a wide selection of Canadian, lab-grown, and other diamonds available to us upon request.
