Ring resizing is a common jewellery alteration that can be required for a number of reasons.
Whether it’s for an engagement ring that doesn’t fit quite right or a ring that needs to be adjusted due to a fluctuation in body weight, most rings can fortunately be resized.
Visit us for a free ring cleaning and inspection and we will provide you with a time and cost estimate for resizing your ring.

• diamond jewellery resizing
If the job is simple and we’re not too busy, we may be able to do a same-day resizing for you.
During busier times or for more complicated ring designs, a resizing could take anywhere from two days up to one week.
The cost depends on a number of factors, including the complexity of your ring design, the thickness of the band, the material (i.e., gold, sterling silver), etc.
For this reason, we need to see your ring in person in order to determine the cost.

To create a larger size, we cut into the shank on the bottom of your ring, insert a small piece of metal into the gap, and carefully solder it in place.
The inserted metal will be the same type, thickness, and shape as your ring. There will be no visible sign of the alteration once we have polished your ring back to its original state.
To create a smaller size, we remove a tiny piece of the ring shank, carefully close the gap, and solder the ends back together.
We resize all rings with great care and attention, leaving no visual evidence once polished and completed.
This method is used to decrease the size of rings that would be damaged by cutting into their shank, such as intricately engraved bands or tension set rings. For this method, we solder two beads of metal to the inside of your ring band so that it hugs your finger more closely. The beads are formed from the same type of metal that your ring is made of.
