Keum-Boo is an ancient Korean technique where 24K gold foil is bonded to silver by using heat and pressure. Keum-Boo provides a cost-effective way to incorporate gold into your jewellery pieces, resulting in elegantly beautiful work. Along with introducing students to the Keum-Boo process, this course will cover basic jewellery-making skills and texturing possibilities. Students will create 2 jewellery pieces in sterling silver accented with gold foil and will be encouraged to find their own voice regarding their individual design ideas.

All of the materials and equipment are provided and no experience is necessary. Please wear close-toed shoes, comfortable clothes, your hair tied back, and no scarves or loose clothing (such as long open sleeves that could pose a safety hazard).

Workshops will not run until sufficient enrollment has been met. We recommend students register at least 10 days before class start dates to avoid disappointment.

The more the merrier! Feel free to spread the word to friends and family as this helps ensure classes will fill to capacity.
